Day Three at Nickelodeon Resort - Mixed Experiences

So, here we are, Day Three at the Nickelodeon Resort, and it’s been nothing short of a rollercoaster. We kicked off our morning with a laid-back vibe, opting for breakfast at the Sweetery. Pastries, deli sandwiches, and the whole coffee scene – it was buzzing. But, hey, not everything can be perfect, right?

We then hit up the Spray Pool – a toddler’s haven. Despite the chilly weather, our little one had a blast, making new friends and all that. And speaking of friends, we got invited to the beach by some cool parents. Sandy playdate, anyone?

Lunch at Fresco had its moments. Fish and chips? A total letdown. But those Yuka balls and shrimp skewers? Lifesavers. Starting to notice a theme here – the food quality’s a bit of a gamble.

Now, let’s talk room issues – the saga continues. Back to the front desk, and I mean, how many times do we have to repeat our problems? Teresa, the manager, was a bit blah about it until I insisted on documenting everything. She said she couldn't find any reports from Our personal concierge (Alberto) or Francios. Note to future vacationers – communicate issues loud and clear at the front desk. Get the issues documented. She stated for me to list the issues and she'd make notes in the computer to ensure the issues were documented and resolved. She stared at me the entire time and didn't document a single issue. However she did call maintenance to fix the issues. She stated maintenance was at my room now to ensure the issues were fixed.

Dinner at the Sugarcane buffet was a mixed bag. Made-to-order dishes saved the day (request the grilled tuna yum), but when we returned to our room at 7 PM – surprise, surprise – nothing was fixed. Dialing 0 revealed our phone was basically a decoration. The frustration was real.

Later in the night, we reached out to Delta Vacations, only to find out the hotel had been feeding them lies about our issues being resolved. Seriously, at this point, it feels like we’re in a comedy sketch. We decided to make the most of what was left of the vacation, mentally noting the highs and lows for our next adventure.

Stay tuned as we bid adieu to Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana. Spoiler alert – it’s been real, but not exactly what we signed up for.

Missed our previous escapades? Catch up on Day One and Day Two.

Day Two at Nickelodeon Resort, Punta Cana: Balancing Acts and Unexpected Hurdles I'm

Hello Magic Moms! ✨ Day two at Nickelodeon Resort brought us both highs and some unexpected hurdles. Let’s dig into the adventure with complete honesty. 🚿 Morning Mishaps: Starting the day with sink plug woes and cold showers set a peculiar tone. Goosebumps and shaving mishaps made for a less-than-ideal morning routine. 🥶  👂 Captioning Conundrum: Captioning refusing to cooperate on both TVs was a major letdown, especially with my husband being hard of hearing. Accessibility is key, and this was a miss. 🛏️ Sofa Bed Comfort: On a positive note, the sofa bed surprisingly offered comfort – a win for kids and simplicity in functionality. 🍽️ Character Dining Drama: Our character dining at Zest turned into a pajama party no-show, leaving us hungry and frustrated.
