Unfiltered Magic Mom Adventures: Day 1 at Nickelodeon Resort, Punta Cana 🌟

Hey Magic Moms! 🌴 Just landed at Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana, and here’s the scoop on our first day – a whirlwind of highs, a few hiccups, and loads of adventure.

🌈 Room Roulette & Upgrade Dilemma:

Arrived at noon, but our room played hard to get until 3. Scored an upgrade to a swank room with a plunge pool, even after my plea for a pool-free haven. Wristbands on (watch out for the $150 replacement fee!), we dropped off our bags and headed to Sugar Cane for a feast – empanadas, pizza, and fruity delights for our little one.

👤 Alberto’s Reservations Magic:

Alberto, our reservations guru, sorted us for a character breakfast and gave a sneak peek at the ocean-side pool. Restroom woes with out-of-service bathrooms made us skeptical, but the toddler pool area was a hit – perfect depth and endless fun.

🏡 Room Ready? Sort Of:

Checked into our room in building two after a much-needed drive. Not fully ready, the room revealed some bathroom quirks with racks getting a makeover. After unwinding, we decided to hit Fresxo, the swim-up bar. Water was refreshing, drinks were a hit, and a surprise appearance from Paw Patrol added to the fun. Shrimp skewers stole the show. Pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese was lacking in flavor.

🍽️ Room Service Revamp:

Later, room service tried to play hard to get on the TV, but after a quick fix at the front desk, the food arrived faster than expected. Unfortunately, the wow factor was MIA. Everything tasted plain – chicken tenders, Mac and Cheese, and the chocolate cake were underwhelming. The cheese quesadilla was a standout, despite its lack of crispiness. The vibrant pico and guacamole were a delightful addition, making it a surprising win.

💡 Lights Out Quirk:

Ready for bed, we discovered an oddity – if bathroom lights are on, so are the bedroom lights. A head-scratcher that required smartphone lights for nighttime bathroom visits. Got the swank room for our toddler’s early bedtime, but this bathroom-light connection was an unexpected twist.

🛌 Overall Verdict – Stressful Yet Fun:

Our first night tossed a few curveballs our way, but it’s been a blast. Winding down had its challenges, but we’re armed with newfound knowledge for day two. Here’s to smoother adventures ahead!

Stay tuned for the Magic Mom Adventures: Day 2 reveal! 🌠 #MagicMomAdventures #NickelodeonResort #PuntaCanaEscape

Day Two at Nickelodeon Resort, Punta Cana: Balancing Acts and Unexpected Hurdles I'm

Hello Magic Moms! ✨ Day two at Nickelodeon Resort brought us both highs and some unexpected hurdles. Let’s dig into the adventure with complete honesty. 🚿 Morning Mishaps: Starting the day with sink plug woes and cold showers set a peculiar tone. Goosebumps and shaving mishaps made for a less-than-ideal morning routine. 🥶  👂 Captioning Conundrum: Captioning refusing to cooperate on both TVs was a major letdown, especially with my husband being hard of hearing. Accessibility is key, and this was a miss. 🛏️ Sofa Bed Comfort: On a positive note, the sofa bed surprisingly offered comfort – a win for kids and simplicity in functionality. 🍽️ Character Dining Drama: Our character dining at Zest turned into a pajama party no-show, leaving us hungry and frustrated.
