Hello Magic Moms! ✨ Day two at Nickelodeon Resort brought us both highs and some unexpected hurdles. Let’s dig into the adventure with complete honesty.
🚿 Morning Mishaps:
Starting the day with sink plug woes and cold showers set a peculiar tone. Goosebumps and shaving mishaps made for a less-than-ideal morning routine. 🥶
👂 Captioning Conundrum:
Captioning refusing to cooperate on both TVs was a major letdown, especially with my husband being hard of hearing. Accessibility is key, and this was a miss.
🛏️ Sofa Bed Comfort:
On a positive note, the sofa bed surprisingly offered comfort – a win for kids and simplicity in functionality.
🍽️ Character Dining Drama:
Our character dining at Zest turned into a pajama party no-show, leaving us hungry and frustrated. Not the vacation breakfast we envisioned. Read what happened here,
🍳 Breakfast Buffet Bonanza:
While Sugarcane’s breakfast buffet had its highlights, overly hard waffles and a limited exploration due to a hungry toddler and my hungry stomach affected the experience. French toast and hash browns were a good choice for my toddler and I.
🛒 ⚠️ Beware the Sales Pitch:
A lengthy sales pitch became an unexpected time drain, emphasizing the importance of protecting vacation hours. Check out our blog for a detailed account.
💦 Aqua Nick Adventures:
Chilly waters at Aqua Nick and a cautionary tale about the zero-entry area. Donnie’s pizza and the water park were hits, but some elements might not suit everyone.
🏝️ Beach and Property Exploration:
Rough waves at the beach made it challenging for little ones. Pop-up pizza spots and a DJ added vibrancy, but the lively nighttime dance party proved disruptive for early sleepers.
🍝 Dinner at Verdellos:
Dinner at Verdellos had its highs and lows. Unfortunately, our bedtime-bound toddler limited our dining experience, and the policy against taking food to go resulted in wasted dishes. Read more about our Italian experience like and dislikes here
Why the Cons Weren’t Good on Vacation:
The Italian place’s policy against taking food to go, while understandable, left our uneaten meals as a stark reminder of the potential drawbacks. On vacation, where convenience matters, these nuances can significantly impact the overall experience. When a bedtime-bound toddler limits your dining window, and the policy doesn’t allow taking uneaten food, it translates into wasted meals – an aspect that didn’t sit well with us.
